Open Source CMS (WordPress, Joomla, Drupal) Developer

Duel Purpose is seeking an exceptional individual to join our team as a part time open source CMS (WordPress, Joomla, Drupal) developer. The right candidate will work with our in house design team in converting web design compositions into full functioning CMS driven websites for our clients . You will have prior experience in Web and Application Development (HTML, CSS, Javascript, SQL) and must possess the ability to convey why one open source CMS is the best fit given a list of required functions and objects conveyed to us by our clients.  The environment is professional but relaxed with a strong emphasis on teamwork, creativity and speed.

Job Requirements:

  • Web and application development using HTML, CSS, AJAX, javascript/jquerey skills required.
  • Server side cross platform experience with MS Windows and Linix required.
  • Expert knowledge of open source CMS frameworks such as WordPress, Joomla, and Drupal.
  • Familiarity with Video Standards. Practical experience with user generated content (i.e. blogs, myspace, etc.) a plus.
  • Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop a must!
  • Willingness to learn new technologies a must!
  • Experience in Adobe Flash a plus but not required.

Web Developer with focus on UI/Javascript/AJAX/Web 2.0 interactive platforms.

Focus on Frontend UI but will also work on backend PHP Development as well.

Required:
* JavaScript, CSS, HTML, AJAX, PHP, JQuery Development
* Skills in Database Design, SQL, Relational Databases such as MySQL
* Strong Object Oriented Design skills and firm understanding of OO Principles
* Ability to collaborate effectively with core developers on product requirements, design and implementation details.
* Strong understanding of modern web practices to create an efficient user-experience
* Ability to develop wire frames and interactive prototype / mockups
* Ability in working with Product managers in defining new product features

* Familiar with Content Management Systems (CMS)
* Apache administration and Linux Skills

* Excellent communication and ability to work well within a team
